The Alarm…..

Before I left Childress Memorial Church of God in Christ, I sat down with the Senior hireling pastor, the 70+ year old Bishop Samuel Edward

False Teacher “Bishop” Noel Jones

Iglehart, for a three-hour conversation. What we discussed centered around the biblical ignorance that the church was under. His cataclysmic failure to preach a biblical gospel that souls might be converted, and his failure to protect the flock by introducing the church to false teachers.

The false teacher that was mentioned was Bishop Noel Jones who is a noted Oneness Pentecostal known for their heretical view of the God-head, their perversion of who the Christ of the bible is, and consequently their works righteousness perspective on soteriology. Read more

True quotes from Godly Men #9

“Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan.” (Luke 17:15-16)

The man fell down at Jesus’ feet; he did not feel perfectly in his place until he was lying there. “I am nobody, Lord,” he seemed to say, and therefore he fell on his face.

But the place for his prostration was “at Jesus’ feet.” I would rather be nobody at Christ’s feet than everybody anywhere else! There is no place so honorable as down at the feet of Jesus. Ah, to lie there always, and just love him wholly, and let self die out!

Oh, to have Christ standing over you as the one figure overshadowing your life henceforth and forever! True thankfulness lies low before the Lord. Added to this there was worship. He fell down at Jesus’ feet, glorifying God and giving thanks unto him.

Let us worship our Savior. Let others think as they like about Jesus, but we will put our finger into the print of the nails and say, “My Lord and my God!” If there be a God, he is God in Christ Jesus to us.

We shall never cease to adore him who has proved his Godhead by delivering us from leprosy of sin. All worship be to his supreme majesty!

I’m not hurt; I’m saved

There are a myriad of ways that satan uses to attempt to undermine the plans of God, (notice I said the word attempt, the truth is that satan never successfully thwarts the plans of God. He is merely a tool that God uses to carry out His bidding) one of those ways is to fabricate lies to create confusion about those whom the Lord has sent out to witness, preach, and teach His gospel. I know it because I’ve been the victim of if since I left Childress Memorial Church of God in Christ.

Prior to my departure I sat down with the Senior Pastor, Bishop S. E. Iglehart, for a three hour session ranging from a number of topics from church polity, the error of the tithe, and to the lack of God’s word (the Gospel) being preached. I do have that entire conversation recorded and I will release it soon to further prove what happen. Read more

You can’t take the crowd with you…

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are fewMatthew 7:13-14

At once we are reminded of some of the outstanding characteristics of this Christian life to which our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ calls us.

The first thing we notice is that it is a life which is narrow or strait at the very beginning.

Immediately it is narrow. It is not a life which at first is fairly broad, and which as you go on becomes narrower and narrower. No!

The gate itself, the very way of entering into this life, is a narrow one. It is important to stress and impress that point because, from the standpoint of evangelism, it is essential. When worldly wisdom and carnal motives enter into evangelism you will find that there is no ‘strait gate.’

Too often the impression is given that to be a Christian is after all very little different from being a non-Christian, that you must not think of Christianity as a narrow life, but as something most attractive and wonderful and exciting, and that you come in in crowds. It is not so according to our Lord. Read more

Purpose and Meaning of “Ego Eimi” in the Gospel of John In Reference to the Deity of Christ

This is a long read but it’s definitely worth it if you want to learn more about Christ and how the Christian Religion confirms and believes that He is God!-Brdavision

The Gospel of John has come under great fire in recent centuries for its incredibly high Christology. On this basis alone certain form-critics have rejected the book as having any historical authenticity whatsoever, assuming (without foundation) that such a high Christology could only have evolved after quite some time of “theological formulation” and hence placing its writing well into the second century. Fortunately, not all scholars share the same unfounded presuppositions.

The person of Christ as presented in John’s Gospel is indeed of an exceptionally high character – John asserts that Jesus is “the Word become flesh” (John 1:14). He says that this Word is eternal, has always been “with” God (pros ton theon) and indeed shares the very being of God (John 1:1). John describes Jesus as the unique God (monogenes theos) in John 1:18. He portrays Jesus saying that He is the way, the truth, and the life – that man’s very life and salvation is dependent upon his relationship with Him (a claim nothing short of blasphemy for a mere created being!), and the Gospel climaxes in Thomas’ confession of Jesus as his “Lord and God”. Husbands love your wives…

This is how we are to love because we determine to love, because we will to love. This is, of course, defined for us as the kind of love the Lord has for His church. He does not love us because we are lovable. He did not save us because we were lovable. He didn’t save you and not somebody else down the street from you because you were more lovable than the person down the street. You might have picked your life partner because that person was more lovable in your judgment than the other people you knew. That is not how God chose you. He predetermined by His own will to set His love on you and to then spend His love relentlessly on you forever and ever and ever. And it is that kind of love that a husband is to set upon the woman that he takes as his wife. Read more

Does the bible teach that Jesus Christ is deity?

Recently I have been engaged in a debate with a Jehovah’s Witness about who the Christ of the bible really is. I refused to go down the many rabbit trails and side arguments that they tried to move the debate to, and purely focused on the nature, essence, and true person of Jesus Christ. For those of you who know anything about JW’s doctrine you should know that JW’s deny the deity of Christ. They believe he was a ransom sacrifice for sin and they believe that He is the Son of God, but they outright and blatantly deny that Christ is God the Son the second person of the trinity, and teach others to the same.
