False Teacher T.D. Jakes defends Obama’s salvation….
In the movie Kill Bill, whenever Uma Thurman would hear or see one of the
people who had attempted to kill her, an alarm would go off in her head. Unfortunately, I experience the same alarm every time I hear T.D. Jakes open his lying mouth. GCMwatch documented my last alarm in a post here. Jakes lied to a Muslim woman and told her she would go to heaven even if she didn’t believe in Jesus Christ.
The good thing about False Teachers? They always identify themselves. But, one can only know the difference between right and wrong by knowing the difference between right and wrong (the bible). The bad thing about false teachers? They are very skilled at keeping up a false guise of Christianity, and very good at duping so called Christians.
T.D. was recently on the Rolands Martin show to rebuke the Reverend Franklyn Graham for his truthful assessment of the false faith of President Barack Obama. See for yourself:
Now T.D. Jakes is completely disqualified from preaching, He can’t even get who the Jesus of the bible is right. Jakes believes in a heresy called Modalism which was considered a false teaching by the church long ago. I covered that in detail here. Basically Modalism denies the true personhood of Christ and triune nature of God by saying that Jesus is just an expression of God. With this knowledge the people should be running away from Bishop Jakes but, they have believed the lie. COGIC Presiding Prelate Bishop Charles Blake is one of the most notable church leaders who has believe the lie that is T.D. Jakes. He has allowed Jakes to preach numerous times at the COGIC Holy Convocation you can read more about that here.
In this interview Jakes truly shows his ignorance of the word of God and his desire to be loved by the world rather than God.
Jakes exercises the normal routine that false teachers go when they are before people. First they introduce what is call Red Herring argument into the conversation. A red herring argument is information given that attempts to distract the conversation away from the original topic. In this instance Jakes immediately pulls the race card by throwing out the fact that George W. Bush’s confession of belief in Christ wasn’t questioned. This has nothing to do with the fact the Barack Obama is not a true Christian but he captures the minds of ignorant Christians who hang on His every word by throwing race in the mix.
George Bush wasn’t overturning every abortion law he could while in office. George Bush also wasn’t affirming Gay “Christians” and putting them in office. George Bush wasn’t fighting tooth and nail to give homosexuals marriage rights either. But Obama has and you can read about that here and here.
Say what you want about George Bush’s faith in Christ, he certainly didn’t make it easy for people to criticize his faith. But this president has and because he calls himself a Christian we have a right to judge his actions. The bible says:
“But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolator, reviler, drunkard, or swindler-not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. Purge the evil person from among you.” 1 Corinthians 5:11-13
Obama identifies himself as a Christians so we now have a right to judge him. My judgment is:
Obama is not a true Christian. He is a false convert who has believed in a false Christ. How do I know? I’ll let Obama tell you himself
In an interview He did back on Saturday, March 27, 2004 (see entire article here) with a journalist at the Chicago Sun-Times then State Sen. Barack Obama spilled his guts regarding his religious views:
“Interview with State Sen. Barack Obama
3:30 p.m., Saturday March 27
GG: What do you believe?
OBAMA: I am a Christian.
So, I have a deep faith. So I draw from the Christian faith.
On the other hand, I was born in Hawaii where obviously there are a lot of Eastern influences.
I lived in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, between the ages of six and 10.
My father was from Kenya, and although he was probably most accurately labeled an agnostic, his father was Muslim.
And I’d say, probably, intellectually I’ve drawn as much from Judaism as any other faith.
(A patron stops and says, “Congratulations,” shakes his hand. “Thank you very much. I appreciate that. Thank you.”)
So, I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people. That there are values that transcend race or culture, that move us forward, and there’s an obligation for all of us individually as well as collectively to take responsibility to make those values lived.
And so, part of my project in life was probably to spend the first 40 years of my life figuring out what I did believe – I’m 42 now – and it’s not that I had it all completely worked out, but I’m spending a lot of time now trying to apply what I believe and trying to live up to those values.”
Obama says he is a Christian “rooted” in the Christian “tradition” (whatever that means), yet he believes that there are many “paths” to the same place. What does the bible say?
“Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Jesus is quite clear that the only pathway to God is through him. Would a real Christian say otherwise? (hint: no)
“GG: Have you always been a Christian?
OBAMA:I was raised more by my mother and my mother was Christian.
GG:Any particular flavor?
OBAMA:No.
My grandparents who were from small towns in Kansas. My grandmother was
Methodist. My grandfather was Baptist. This was at a time when I think the Methodists felt slightly superior to the Baptists. And by the time I was born, they were, I think, my grandparents had joined a Universalist church.
So, my mother, who I think had as much influence on my values as anybody, was not someone who wore her religion on her sleeve. We’d go to church for Easter. She wasn’t a church lady.
As I said, we moved to Indonesia. She remarried an Indonesian who wasn’t particularly, he wasn’t a practicing Muslim. I went to a Catholic school in a Muslim country. So I was studying the Bible and catechisms by day, and at night you’d hear the prayer call.
So I don’t think as a child we were, or I had a structured religious education. But my mother was deeply spiritual person, and would spend a lot of time talking about values and give me books about the world’s religions, and talk to me about them. And I think always, her view always was that underlying these religions were a common set of beliefs about how you treat other people and how you aspire to act, not just for yourself but also for the greater good.
And, so that, I think, was what I carried with me through college. I probably didn’t get started getting active in church activities until I moved to Chicago.”
Obama claims his mom was a Christian but then says she was deeply spiritual and would give him books about the world’s religions and talk to him about them. But shouldn’t a Christian parent teach their child about the word of God? Let’s see what the bible says:
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7
“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” Luke 18:16
If Obama’s Mama is a Christian she sure didn’t show it. The word of God admonishes us to teach our children the word of God. Not to give them knowledge of all kinds of lies! This is probably one of the reasons why he is so confused today.
“And it was in those places where I think what had been more of an intellectual view of religion deepened because I’d be spending an enormous amount of time with church ladies, sort of surrogate mothers and fathers and everybody I was working with was 50 or 55 or 60, and here I was a 23-year-old kid running around.
I became much more familiar with the ongoing tradition of the historic black church and it’s importance in the community.
And the power of that culture to give people strength in very difficult circumstances, and the power of that church to give people courage against great odds. And it moved me deeply.
So that, one of the churches I met, or one of the churches that I became involved in was Trinity United Church of Christ. And the pastor there, Jeremiah Wright, became a good friend. So I joined that church and committed myself to Christ in that church.
GG:Did you actually go up for an altar call?
OBAMA:Yes. Absolutely.
It was a daytime service, during a daytime service. And it was a powerful moment. Because, it was powerful for me because it not only confirmed my faith, it not only gave shape to my faith, but I think, also, allowed me to connect the work I had been pursuing with my faith.
GG:How long ago?
OBAMA:16, 17 years ago
1987 or 88
GG:So you got yourself born again?
OBAMA:Yeah, although I don’t, I retain from my childhood and my experiences growing up a suspicion of dogma. And I’m not somebody who is always comfortable with language that implies I’ve got a monopoly on the truth, or that my faith is automatically transferable to others.”
Obama claims to have gone up for an altar call. But he makes no mention of repentance for sin. He doesn’t say that Jesus saved him from his sins. He doesn’t even say he got saved. He says it was a powerful moment. Now I have only been saved for 4 years now and I know that Jesus Christ saved me from my sin. I know how to communicate my salvation experience to someone else. But Obama, who has been saved for 16 or 17 years says that it was confirmation of his faith??? This doesn’t add up at all.
“GG:Who’s Jesus to you?
(He laughs nervously)
OBAMA:Right.
Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher.
And he’s also a wonderful teacher. I think it’s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history.
GG:Is Jesus someone who you feel you have a regular connection with now, a personal connection with in your life?
OBAMA:Yeah. Yes. I think some of the things I talked about earlier are addressed through, are channeled through my Christian faith and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.”
Here is the most compelling evidence, outside of Obama’s sinful actions, that he is not a Truly Converted Christian. It’s his erroneous view of Jesus Christ. If you don’t know who Jesus Christ really is you cannot be truly converted. Obama believes that Jesus is “A” bridge between God and man and only in the Christian Faith. He doesn’t believe that Jesus is “THE” way. The Apostle John wrote concerning those who don’t have the Son:
“No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whosoever confesses the Son has the Father also.” 1 John 2:23
When you say that Jesus is only “a” way and not “the” way to God it means you do not have a correct view of Him and you do not
believe in Him. (That goes for all you Oneness Pentecostals out there) For all of you who want to say I’m being to hard on him, remember this man “gave” his life to Christ over 20 years ago.
Open you eyes and see the truth. Like Jesus said:
“Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” John 17:17

I don’t understand? what is the problem? Bishop Jakes nor no other man have access to another man heart…Only God does. So what sould have the bishop said?
Ms. Brock First let me thank you personally for you endorsement of touchyaneighbor blog. I hope the site is a fountain of truth in this dusty dry and lie filled world we live in.
In regard to
fakesI mean jakes interview about obama’s so called “faith”, there couldn’t be any more theological errors and twist of scriptures made by Jakes. He claims that Rev. Graham offended those that he is supposed to save. But in reality Graham did exactly what God wants his preachers to do. Speak the truth! 2 Timothy 4:1-5Jakes claims that the bible tells us not to question the validity of someone’s faith but he is far from the truth. Notice the scripture I cited in 1 Corinthians 5:11-13
We are told to judge those who claim to be Christians. And how can we judge them? Jesus tells us this:
If you check the numerous links I provided about obama’s gay clergy affirming, abortion law overturning, Christ denying, false religion affirming, sinful ways you will see that Obama is far from a Christian. And that Rev. Grahams assessment of him is correct.
Jakes problem is first his false doctrine of oneness pentecostalism (see article for link) he teaches and then his unquenchable desire to be loved by this world, evidenced by his refusal to preach against sin, and those who commit it.
Jakes should have said Obama is not a Christian and Rev. Graham was correct. But of course Jakes wouldn’t be able to say this because he himself is a false teacher.
I hope this article helps you to truly understand…..
what else would you expect from an individual who denies the existence of God in three persons….AND who has his hands in the interfaith deception going on. Wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t start fully promoting that coexist crap
“Fakes” is the epitome of the word false teacher! He is the ultimate false teacher who has the minds of so many duped and confused. True believers see through him but there are some who haven’t yet. I intend to shed the light….
Thanks for reading!
First of all, I think you should pay more attention to what Jakes actually said during that interview. I believe that ‘Christians’ like yourself have ulterior motives for attempting to discredit a minister whom you dislike for reasons that have nothing to do with their Christianity.
Good thing what you believe doesn’t mean anything. The word of God is the only authority Sister Thompson. A preacher is to point to the truth found in the word of God both plainly and clearly. I have exposed the false doctrine and false teaching of T.D. Jakes numerous times to see it go to the box on the right hand side of this blog called Archives then fink the link for T.D. Jakes and educate yourself.
“I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.” Romans 16:17
“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” Ephesians 5:11
“He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.” Titus 1:9
The rest of your comment is deleted. See the link about that says “Study on Judging”.
God Bless! (brdavision)
The pandering continues! I’m not surprised that Jakes did this. I don’t know why so many people will not recognize the plain truth. Jesus said “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Everytime BO opens his mouth about this subject he’s telling us what is in his heart! The man is NOT a Christian! As for Jakes? I caught his act on TBN the other night along with Paula White and Donnie McClurkin. To show how little regard Jakes has for the truth, consider this, he actually was lauding Paula White for her upstanding character and business acumen.
The same Paula White who almost bankrupted her church, and scammed a widow out of her money. The same Paula White who pretended to buy a house for a poor single mom. The same Paula White who is now TWICE divorced. I guess that Bentley she bought him for his birthday buys a lot of silence.
It really just baffles my mind Ken. You have this overwieght false teacher who loves to get men to be emotional (hint hint), straight twist the scriptures, and mock God anytime he can and the world and most so called Christians just eat it up like candy!!!! When did we throw our common sense away???
Paula White first of all has no business preaching or pastoring per the scriptures and even if it was ok for women to preach she was long ago disqualified for her sinful actions, most of them you listed above. But lets not forget her love affair with the prince of Charisma….Benny Hinn Dog….
Check out my other post I did on TD Jakes a while back watch how he completely butchers God’s word
http://touchyaneighbor.com/2011/01/03/the-lies-of-t-d-jakes/
You are welcome!
I seems like everybody wants to put this guy in heaven…..
He can come right out and say Jesus is not THE way to Christ (which he has) and black people would still bu running around gushing over him….
Lord Help US…..
The testimony of the true value of the blood of the Lamb is now delivered Rev 12:10-11.
val none of your heretical lies will ever find their way on this page….
You will be punished for your lies and your mis-handle of scripture….
LOVE IS THE(ONLY) THING THAT PROVES YOU ARE A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN (LOVE LOVE LOVE) . BY THIS ALL MEN WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES. St John 13:35 CAN YOU LOVE ALL OF GODS PEOPLE ? A DEVIL CAN NOT DO THIS, HE CAN NOT EVEN FAKE IT !
Speaking the truth is showing love Darrol. Ignoring someone’s sin and acting like everything is ok is actually called indifference. To me it is hatred. Consider these scriptures:
“As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine, nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith. The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions.” 1 Timothy 1:3-7
We must show those in error (be it doctrinal error, or belief error) the truth. And when we do it it must be in love “that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”
Speaking the true is one of the purest forms of Love…..
Thanks for reading!
Jakes, like all other false teachers in this country is all about the money. He preaches what get $$ responses from the masses. If he couldn’t make a mint off this heresy he’d we would have never heard of him in the first place. All apostasy is about the acquisition of filthy mammon.
“All apostasy is about the acquisition of filthy mammon.” I agree with you sir, reading 1 Timothy 6 really opened my eyes:
“But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” 1 Timothy 6:8-10
Loved your article, got this from a face book friend of mine, will be reading your blog regularly…thanks for standing up for truth!
Well Praise God for the truth Brother Robert. Thanks for reading and I hope this blog is a fountain of truth for you.
I will continue to cry aloud and spare not….
God Bless!
well from observation i can see that u have really made your research…but again the God which i serve says thou shalt not judge, remember in the bible we were made to understand that the devil is the accuser of brethren….even jesus was called prince of demons by those who hated him am sick of seeing most of the men and women which God has prepared for us christian been diced and so on.maybe be we need to have a change of heart.remember God is love.
ebuka-Have you not read?:
“And what I do I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.” 2 Corinthians 11:12-14
You are being deceived and this article and others I have written clearly prove that Jakes is a modalist. He does not believe in the same Jesus of the bible and he does not believe in the same God of the bible. So when he preaches he is doing so in vain because a false Christ cannot save anyone a false God did not send His Son to die for our sins. I pray that God would open your eyes and show you the truth.
But even if Jakes does repent from his heretical beliefs he is still a prosperity gospel preacher with is just as destructive as modalism. Please hear and see…..
True love rejoices in the truth…
“Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.” 1 Corinthians 13:6
I have told the truth and done everything I can. Do you really want to stand before God and tell him that you wanted to show love to a false teacher instead of telling him the truth?
I mean absolutely NO disrespect. But these claims seem baseless and opinionated. And Christians got the right to judge other Christians? What? The Father is the one and only judge. And “purge the evil person from amoung you”? Now this is just my opinion on certain evil people. But the so-called evil people are the ones who need help, and to be reached out to. Why not try to bring out the good in them? What would Jesus do, right? He casted demons out of people. I’ve accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. But I don’t consider myself as a member of the Christian religion. I’m not here to be a so-called “good Christian.” I’m a child of GOD, before ANYTHING else. Now just think about the so-called “discovery” of America… THE PEOPLE WHO ROBBED, RAPED, AND MURDERED INDIANS FOR THIS COUNTRY, KIDNAPPED AND ENSLAVED, MURDERED BLACK PEOPLE, RAPED OUR WOMEN AND CHILDREN, CALLED THEMSELVES “GOOD CHRISTIANS.” Wherever they went in the world, they raped and destroyed nations and always used Christianity to justify their evil doing. That’s a historic FACT. God’s proud of that? They were “good Christians” right? I mean, they went all out? I mean wow. You gotta really be devout to be willing to go AGAINST the Holy Bible which you believe so highly in… AND AMERICA IS STILL BASICALLY BABYLON……….. You understand where I’m coming from? And what about people in the world who aren’t TAUGHT to know Jesus because of their culture but are still good at Heart? They still go to hell? I take the Bible very seriously, but I see flaws and contradictions, and BECAUSE I take it seriously, I have to question things (I feel that God appreciates that, because I seek Him, and confusions are potholes in the road to complete salvation.) The Bible says that God isn’t good because good and evil stem from the same tree (of knowledge)… And then it says “Love the Lord, for he is good”……… COME ON.
Yes Christians do have the right to judge other Christians. If you would like to find out more then please see the link at the top right hand corner of this blog that says “Study on Judging…” Read the article and then read the scriptures to educate yourself and learn how to properly judge other Christians according to the word of God.
Yes the bible says to purge out that “evil person” from among you. The person would be determined evil if he or she was rebuked according to scripture and they still wouldn’t repent. They would then be an unbeliever. Un-believers are not good people but enemies of God, under the wrath of God. There is no “good in them” as you say. The bible tells us to throw them out of the church. Just because you don’t like what the bible has to say does not mean that we are wrong to practice it.
The word of God is God’s word, it’s God breathed:
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16
This means that all of it applies today for the Christian. But since you say you’re not a “good christian”, whatever that means, then I guess this doesn’t apply to you. Jesus said:
“If you love me, YOU WILL, keep my commandments.” John 14:15
Love for Christ is inseparable from obedience. God’s word is His commandments. God’s word is how we can even know who God is.
There is not one contradiction in God’s Holy Word. The reason why you cannot understand it is because you do not belong to Him. The bible says:
“The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” 2 Corinthians 2:14
You don’t love God or His word, you need to be saved and that can only come by the preaching of the gospel message, repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. I have presented this message and you can view it by clicking the Gospel link at the top of this blog. I pray that God would truly save you…..
P.S.
Again about “purging the evil person from amoung you”……… The name of this website is TOUCH A NEIGHBOR.com…
Correction: it’s TOUCH “YA” NEIGHBOR MINISTRIES
Amadi’s comment hits the nail on the head of the problem. Even when given scripture, she questions God’s Word because it doesn’t fit her brand of christianty. The Truth gets lost, replaced by their sense of what is right and wrong. And why not? It’s not like they read their Bibles themselves. Why should they when they can simply be told what it supposedly says by the likes of td jakes.
It’s a sad state of affairs and brings to mind the words of Jesus when He told us that the road is narrow, and few find it. I watch jakes put on his show for the crowd for just a few minutes before I can’t stand it any longer, and yet still, my heart goes out to all the lost who cling to every word that tickles their ears.
Great Points Laura-I can sum it up this way. False converts do not, will not, and cannot practice righteousness. They can’t even understand it, and just as the scriptures declare, it is foolishness to them.
A true believers responsibility is to pray for the lost and to witness the truth to them. And that truth is the Gospel!
If anyone is reading this would you join with me in prayer for the lost as well as prayer for those who will go out into this sinful God-rejecting world, and preach the gospel…..
Oh for Pete’s sake…can’t we all just get along!!!? God knows the heart of EVERY individual…he knows when we’re weak and when at times we can be swayed by the lies of the great deceiver! He wasn’t born yesterday you know! Knowing that we are pathetic human beings capable of great harm toward one another, he came to save us ALL from an eternity in hell…even if some Christians are swayed by Jakes message (if indeed he is a false teacher), God will judge them by their hearts. In other words, though ALL will fall into the trap of the devils schemes from time to time, it doesn’t mean we are he’ll bound…
mbtilley the bible calls true Christians to sound the alarm about false teachers:
I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.
(Romans 16:17 ESV)
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.
(Ephesians 5:11 ESV)
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
(Matthew 7:15-16 ESV)
How can you be aware of false teachers if you are not aware they exist? Please read your bible…
